Update: Today I did arms. I did 21's: Pulling up on 40 lbs. 7 going full extension, 7 at 90 degrees, and 7 pumps. Then tricep press-downs with 50 lbs. Tricep dips were next. That's where you put your hands on a bench and then squat down until your elbows are 90 degrees, then push back up (20 of those). I did 3 reps of each of those exercises. (PS did you know that your triceps makes up most of your arm muscle? So if you're trying to build up your arms you should be working these first and then the rest of everything else. It helps get rid of relief society arm big time. Most people work their biceps the most. WRONG. Just an interesting fact I learned today.)
Then I did a reverse incline bicep curl (realizing that my right arm is obviously stronger than my left). This is where you are on your knees (put your knees where your butt would usually go) and lean your chest against (the back part) a bench that is at like 165 degrees. Then, you basically curl 10 lbs weights (10 together and then 10 alternately).
In between the reverse incline bicep curls I did in-step jumps (50 times). It's like jumping jacks minus the arms and including a step. This keeps your heart rate up in between reps, but gives your muscles a second to calm down.
Before I did any of this I got there early so I could jog around the basketball court for 10 minutes and stretch for 5. PS I look like an idiot when I walk, go up stairs, sit down, get up....it's a sight to be seen, but I LOVE it. I love feeling sore because it means I'm doing something right.
(Breakfast: Low fat vanilla yogurt....activia, some green grapes, hard boiled egg, and a whole glass of water. Lunch: I little piece of left over chicken from my grill, a scoop of low fat cottage cheese, some olives, some grape tomatoes, and a whole glass of water. Snack: Fugi apple. Dinner: haven't decided yet. PM Snack: Orange. AND LOTS OF WATER)
