CRAFT NIGHT!

A few of the friends I work with and I got together today to make some crafts. We went to a store that sells wooden letter cuts, paper, glitter, paint..etc, (it took me a little while to get my plan in my head, but eventually it struck me) and then headed back to Deb's house for some FUN!

Obviously, I am really into black and red this year. My whole apartment seems to have that scheme.

First I traced the letters on the back of the papers.

I decided to use a black stain on my wood instead of paint. It's faster...

While I waited for my letters to dry I used scissors and an exacto knife to cut the letters from my paper choices.

I chose the word THINK to put above the cupboard area in my classroom.

And ROSE to put above my fireplace just below my family portrait.

Everything was true to my style with fun mixes of colors and patterns, glitter spray, painting accents, and rhinestones.

At one point my friend Codi laughed and whispered, "Look how much she's concentrating," as I used the end of a brush to put white dots creating a heart on one of my letters. (Obviously I heard her.)

I LOVE art and making fun crafts. After a really long, brain sucking week, this was just the ticket! Thanks for a really fun night girls! We need to do this again soon!
